Our Huddle at Horses and Hope has been meeting since August 2023 and has become a precious time for these equestrians to gather and learn more about Jesus and their faith in Him. In January 2024, Horses and Hope coach, Macey Booth, had a dream that a few of her athletes were being baptized in a water trough. One of those athletes, a girl named Cheyenne, Macey knew did not have saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Cheyenne began coming to the Huddle and Macey could not stop thinking about the dream God had given her. In June, the topic of baptism came up at one of the Huddle meetings. There were multiple girls who confessed they had not followed through with baptism after receiving salvation. Macey asked if they would want to get baptized there at the barn and the planning for a baptism day began!
Through the conversation about baptism, Cheyenne began asking questions about salvation. Macey and Cheyenne started having discussions about what salvation is, why we need it, and how Jesus is the only one we can have true life through.
A few weeks later, Cheyenne told Macey she wanted to give her life to Jesus and prayed to receive salvation while at her riding lesson on her favorite horse.
The next week, Cheyenne and three other equestrian athletes were baptized in a water trough at the barn- just like the dream God gave Macey.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!
